As a founding member of SPANISH BRASS Luur Metalls, he has won Spain's Youth Music Contest as well as the First Prize at the 6th annual Ville de Narbonne Brass Quintet International Contest held in France.

 

Born in Albuixec, Valencia in 1970, he began his musical training under Vicente Prats, José Salvador and Manolo López at the Valencia Advanced Music Conservatory. He then went on to train with José Ortí at Madrid's Royal Advanced Music Conservatory, where he received the advanced level Honour Award.

 

In 1987 he joined the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE). He regularly performs with such symphony ensembles as the Spanish National Orchestra, the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, and the Euskadi, Canarias and Cadaqués Symphony Orchestras. He was trumpet soloist of the City of Granada Orchestra.

 

He has carried out teaching work throughout Spain and abroad giving courses and "master-classes". His most outstanding work was with the JONDE (Spanish National Youth Orchestra), JONC (National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia), JOGV (Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana), OJA (Andalucía Youth Orchestra), Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (China), Georgia University (U.S.A.), Trumpet Lounge (Japan), The Showa School for Performing Arts (Japan), Lieksa Brass Week (Finland), Eastman School (U.S.A.), Venezuelan Youth Orchestra, Dartington Internacional Summer School (United Kingdom), International Winter Festival of Music of Brasilia (Brazil), Ibero-American Cultural Festival (Puerto Rico), etc.

 

Currently, he performs in world tours and records exclusively with the Spanish Brass Luur Metalls and organises the SBALZ Festival in Alzira (Spain) and the Spanish BrasSurround Torrent (Spain).
