Luis González
Luis was born in Silla, Valencia and he started his trumpet studies at the Musical Association School “La Lírica” of Silla with the teacher Eduarto Tarín. Later he began his studies at the High Conservatory of Music of Valencia, he studied with the teacher Leopoldo Vidal and achieved the Prize of Honor at the end of the career.
Luis continued his studies outside the country with teachers like Pierre Thibaud and Bo Nilsson. In 1989 he obtained the trumpet chair in the Orchestra of the city of Palma and became teacher of the Professional Conservatory of Palma de Mallorca. There he worked until 1994. In this year he achieved the fourth place prize and the Silver Medal in the International Competition in Toulon, France.
He often teaches in many courses and seminars. He develops his teaching work with the Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid, the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, the Royal Academy of Philharmonic of Galicia, the High Conservatory of Music in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the High Conservatory of Music of Bilbao, and the International Course of Benissanó, Valencia or in the International Courses of Cala d’Or and Alcudia in Mallorca.
Luis González develops his huge performance activities as soloist with the organist Robert Fresco, they recorded a CD including baroque and contemporary works. He also makes recordings for the German Company ZDF and the group Ten of the Best, a team made up for Allan Vizzutti, Otto Sauter, Bo Nilsson, Pierre Thibaud. He just recorded a new CD with pianist José Gallego. This production has works for piano and trumpet from Spanish composers of the XX Century, this CD is the first for this works.
In his wide experience as soloist he had played with the Chamber Orchestra of the Queen Sofía, the Classical Orchestra of Valencia, the Camerata Sa Nostra, the Orchestra of the city of Palma, the Extremadura Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra of Madrid.
Several Spanish composers dedicated his works to Luis, like Francisco Fort Zacarés, Salomé Díez, Juan José Colomer, Enrique Muñoz, Miguel Franco, Juan José Poveda, Josep Prohens Julia.
From 1994 to 2006 he was soloist of the Symphonic Orchestra of Madrid and since 2004, Luis is trumpet teacher in the High Musical Studies Center of the País Vasco Musikene in San Sebastián. He also teaches at the High Conservatory of Music of Liceu of Barcelona. He also keeps his performance and concert work.
